The shaded blue states on the map below have officially signed up to host their own Digital Learning Day events. Many other states are planning their activities and many other state officials are involved in other activities! Is your state in blue on this map? Sign up today!

Alabama will celebrate Digital Learning Month and tell Alabama's Digital Story by showcasing ways to use contemporary tools to ensure Alabama students are college and career ready. From the success of ACCESS Distance Learning which made geographical boundaries limitless, to the wealth of online professional development readily available in ALEX, Alabama has been a trailblazer at using technology for the purpose of advancing education.
California: The California Writing Project is sponsoring Writing Our Future: A Celebration of Students' Digital Learning & Writing. Imagine a combination of a science fair, poster session, and a gallery walk that showcases teacher and student teams sharing their digital learning or writing. Teams will share the instructional goals, the supporting digital tools, and most importantly, the power of the student work and learning that results from effective digital teaching.
Indiana: Digital Learning Day, the Indiana Department of Education will kick off the state’s twenty-nine-day “Web 2.0 Challenge.” Then, on each day in February, it will introduce a new resource complete with tutorials and tips on its blog. The challenge is for educators to explore the shared tools and post thoughts and ideas about how they could use them to enhance student learning. Additionally, the state will encourage districts to post a three-minute video telling their own Digital Learning story to the Indiana Department of Education YouTube channel.
