Epic-ed Webinar: Leveraging Digital Learning Day Activities
Is your school fostering innovative uses of digital learning to improve student learning and outcomes? Does your district or some of your principals and educators deserve to be recognized?
Join Mary Ann Wolf, PhD, chief executive officer of Wolf Ed with fifteen years of experience in education and education technology, and presenters Robyn Young, Ann McMullan, and Kim Sharp, to discuss strategies for leveraging Digital Learning Day and how you can recognize your educators and principals.
In February 2012, the Alliance’s inaugural Digital Learning Day was a resounding success, connecting schools, districts, and educators through stories, showcases, and instructional practice. Whether you are working to implement Common Core State Standards, college- and career-ready standards, online assessments, or a new Race to the Top–District Personalized Learning grant, Digital Learning Day offers a platform for demonstrating how student-centered, personalized learning is elevated by the application of digital resources. Epic-ed has launched its epic-ed School and District Profile Locator, where you can network, share, and become part of the nation’s movement to implement digital transition in its schools and districts. With the new epic-ed School and District Profile Locator, you no longer need to guess which districts share your situation; you can search by key implementation elements like BYOD/BYOT, tablet devices, classroom implementation, and grade-level implementation. You can provide important details regarding your school’s or district’s digital transition initiative by putting yourself on the map, and you can even explore other districts and schools with similar characteristics.
What does it mean to “get on the map?”
- Getting on the map allows you to provide details about your school’s or district’s technology implementation with the rest of the epic-ed community. You can share as much information as you like. The process takes no more than fifteen minutes.
- How do I get on the map?
- Put your school or district on the map via the online form. Remember, the more information you share on the form, the more complete your profile will be, increasing the likelihood for collaboration with other schools and districts. For guidance on completing the form, see this animated tutorial, which details how to complete the form and offers additional information to clarify certain fields of the form.
